THE MOTHERs were making their own survey of space in the white schools, he said, because of "the repeated refusal of officals of the Chicago Board of Education to provide this information, pursuant to a conspiratorial effort by those officials to hide the facts."
Ming sain he ould call school board member Raymond W. Pasnick as his his witness when the trial resumes Thursday.

May 16, 1962 Dear Mrs. Craddock, I was sorry to read the conviction handed down by Judge Ryan. However, I think you have done our city a service by your action at Kellogg school. I hope that you are conscious of the great good that came from your action. I also hopr that Attorney Ming will be able to attain a reversal of the the judge's conviction. If I were you, I would be proud of what I had done to bring out the truth before the people of Chicago. Sincerely yours, Father William E Hogan

REV. MARTIN FARRELL REV. ANTHONY J. VADER REV. FRANCIS McGRATH May 22, 1962 Dear Mrs Craddock, I am so glad everything is over for the present because it must have tried your patience. I know how difficult it must have been to sit there day after day. May I say that you gave a beautiful example of lady like Christian conduct that must have confounded the opposition. Your recent "victory" is just the beginning of the path to justice and human dignity for which we are fighting. God bless you. Sincerly yours in Christ, Father Farrell

... She went with the famous T.W.O. "Truth Squad" into white schools looking for empty classrooms. "We found them too, west of us and in South Shore." But on the day the mothers decided to go into beverly Hills, the youngest Ward child was ill. It turned out, that was the the day of arrests. For the trial, Mrs. Ward took Mrs. Zephyr Craddock, one of her neighbors and an arrested Truth Squad mother every day. when the Southwest judge found the mothers guilty, "It was incredible. Parking Gardens Circle One, led by president Earl Byrd, held an open discussion last Tesday night on community problems.
In their monthly meeting, the group went over the proposed park behind the Gardens, the community feeling on the poverty program, the Hyde Park High School issue, retraining programs, and the T.W.O. convention.
Mrs. Zephyr Craddock, one of T.W.O.'s leading ladies and a "truth squad" mother, reviewed the size of delegations necessary for the convention floor, and the necessity of raising the convention fee in plenty of time.
Mrs. Willa Durroh, Mrs. Amanda Maddox, Mrs. Thelma Showers and Mr. Byrd led the discussion of T.W.O.'s February Delegales' meeting. Mrs. Sadie Helen Jones hosted the meeting.
Circle One is famous in Parkway Gardens for its Christmas decorations, which are splended, and for its unity. It has been at the heart of countless T.W.O. demostrations, and has provided a good share of leadership of Parkway Gardens and the Dulles School PTA.
One of the Circle's members temporarily out of action is Mrs. Mae Morton, who is well remembered for her faithful participation on the school-battlew. The Circle and the T.W.O. Delegates look forward to her early active return.
