During the summer of 1964 Zephyr Craddock started a flutophone band and a rhythm band at Parkway Garden Christian Church, 6600 S Parkway (current: 6600 S Dr M L King Jr Dr), Chicago, IL. The flutophone band had 23 children including her then 11 year old son Burton. The rhythm band had 15 children including her then 6 year old son Kenneth. The summer of 1965 was the last year of both bands.
Six of Zephyr's piano students who were in Della Hudson and Zephyr Craddock Piano Recital Sunday June 28, 1964 at McCormick Place, East 23rd Street, 2nd Lake Front Room #12, Chicago. The student were Phyilis Pitts, Marie Ward, Bernard Ward, Myra Adams, Janis Roberson, and Patricia Shields.
Student flutophone music include The Tonette Band March by Al Sweet in Tonette News Tune of the Month No II and Melody Fun For Signing and Playing with the Tonette by Chicago area music teacher Forrest L. Buchtel which was first published in 1938. Both publish by Lyons Band Instrument Co. Chicago.
Zephyr purchased the flutophones, Tonette News Tune, and Melody Fun For Signing and Playing with the Tonette at Lyon Healy, 243 S. Wabash Ave, Chicago Illinois.
One of music book for Zrphyr's rhythm band was Miniatures For Rhythm-Band, A Cooection of Gems for Kindergarten and Primary Grades by Hattie Summerfield copyright 1930 by The Boston Music Co.
Her son Kenneth played the drums, cymbals and bird whistle in the the rhythm band.

PARK WAY PIANIST PLAY
Students of Mrs. Zephyr Craddock were recently presented in a piano recital at the beautiful McCoormick Place, many proud parents in Parkway beamed as they watched their young ones perform. These who appeared on the program were Frank and Phyllis Pitts, 6542; Phillip Best, 6404; Myra Adams, 6440; Patricia Shields, 6504; Denise Wiiiamson, 6358; Janis Roberson, 6530; Marie and Bernard Ward, 6514; Marilyn Adams, 6440.
